How I Work

You hire me to cut through confusion, not create more. For that reason, I’ve created a simple process for transferring the  paperwork burden from your shoulders to mine.

Before we meet.
First, gather all your medical paperwork from doctors, and insurance providers — bills, statements, explanations of benefits, fee sheets, receipts and anything else.

Open and throw away envelopes, but beyond that, don't worry about organizing your papers them in any way. Just leave them piled in a stack (or stacks!).

Initial meeting or organization.
We have an initial meeting and conversation to help me understand your unique healthcare and insurance circumstance.

I then take those stacks of papers and bills with me, to my home office, where I’ll organize them to get an accurate understanding of your situation and where I can help, transforming your paperwork from a confusing jumble to a clear, chronological record of medical care and costs.

Processing claims and advocacy.
Once I’ve made sense of your papers, identifying discrepancies, claims opportunities, etc., I begin contacting providers and insurance companies, keeping you apprised of my progress and recovering money for you along the way.

Ongoing medical billing and insurance management.
For some clients, I provide ongoing services, relieving the headache of managing claims for good. Some clients simply drop any medical-related mail that arrives into an envelope they mail to me every few weeks. For others, we can meet on a regular basis to go through your papers in person.

Note: This process may vary some from client to client. In our initial conversation, we’ll determine how we can best work together.
